Karena H., Patient Advocate/Assistant
Karena has been working as a team with Dr. Starr since 2016. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Grand Valley State University in 2014 and an AAS degree in Business Administration from Northwestern Michigan College in 2020. Karena worked in veterinary and animal health fields during summers while in college. After college, she began working at a couple of local veterinary clinics where she met Dr. Starr. They have been unstoppable ever since.
Karena’s pet family includes her cats Arlo and Velma. When she is not working, she loves hiking, reading, taking care of her plants, belly dancing, and good food.
